Back in the day I did a little telemarketing and swore that when I get these calls I would hear them out. Being a telemarketer is bad enough but when you say the same two sentences over and over because no one will hear your schpeel out is frustrating. It was nice that even though the people said "no" in the end I got a couple of minutes of not say the exact same lines. Today I got a call from "David" and then "Shawn" with thick Indian accents from Charter communications. They asked about our services and how much we paid. They were momentarily speechless because we don't spend a whole lot on our internet and phone. They also couldn't believe that we didn't spend anything on cable/satellite. The deal they were trying sell was good, but in the end it is Charter and though they may start cheap their prices always go up dramatically. Plus, if the cable is out we are out a phone, too. But that's all besides the point I had one speechless and then his supervisor got on to help sell the plan and he was equally struck dumb. It's fun to stump telemarketers.
